“The community that learns to operate on the basis of the circulating gift of dreams will be the community immune to the commodification of desire that so threatens the true potential of the human spirit” Russell Lockhart

The Dreamfishing Society is a communal dreaming project created by Kate Alderton that invites people to explore dreams as a shared, creative, and relational practice. It extends Alderton’s wider artistic work by using collective dream listening and imagination as ways to deepen connection, creativity, and awareness, blurring the boundaries between dreaming, art-making, and everyday life

She has run community social dream matrices and workshops such as Dream Crossing, The Radical Act of Dreaming, The Revolutionary Act of Dreaming —a community series of shared dream sessions for The Centre for Climate Psychology, The Cockpit, IMAGINE! Festival,

Kate works one-to-one with dreams and dreamers, weaving dreamtending, deep listening, embodied practice, art, and dream-activism to explore the innate intelligence, creativity, and healing within dreams. Alongside this, she hosts social and community dreaming events that bring people together to share and deepen the wisdom of collective dreaming.

Interview with psychotherapist Greg Donaldson:

Kate has worked on a range of collaborative dreaming and creative projects that bring communal dream work into artistic and exploratory spaces. These include Cerne to CERN, Oneironautica, Constellations, Language of the Birds with Chroma Space, Dreamcrossing, and Dream Palace Cairo. Each explore collective dreaming, dream incubation, and the relationship between dreams and the world around us, blending dream work with immersive, artistic research and performance
